Rapaport Melee and Single Stone Auctions function in a silent auction format. The
viewing of the diamonds in auction occurs over a set period of time. All sealed
bids must be placed by the specified deadline to be counted for that auction. Once
the auction closes, suppliers have one business day to approve or reject the highest
bids. After that, buyers are invoiced for all lots accepted by the seller.
Melee and Single Stone auctions are open to all qualified members of the diamond
trade. All auction participants must be registered Rapaport Trading Partners.
During an auction, buyers may inspect the merchandise in our offices and submit their silent bids.
All e-bid forms may be submitted to firstname.lastname@example.org until the auction closing time
Upon receipt of funds, lots will be released to winning buyers at the Rapaport office
where the auction was held. Shipping can be coordinated under a buyer’s carrier account.
All participants in Rapaport Auctions must comply with
U.S. Patriot Act and OFAC regulations. The Rapaport Group does not deal in diamonds
from Marange, Zimbabwe, or diamonds directly involved in human rights violations.
