Auction Format

Rapaport Melee and Single Stone Auctions are held in a similar format to silent auctions and tenders, with viewing over a five to eight day period at Rapaport diamond trading centers. Sealed bids are submitted by the close of auction and once closed, sellers have one business day to approve or reject top bids. Winning bidders are invoiced and have three business days to make payment

Payment

• Invoices are sent to buyers one day after auction closes.
• Buyers must make full payment within three business days of invoicing.
• Suppliers are paid upon completion of the collection process, about one week after invoices are sent.

Insurance

All goods supplied are fully insured under Rapaport’s policy.

All Rapaport Auctions participants must comply with U.S. Patriot Act and OFAC regulations. The Rapaport Group does not deal in diamonds from Marange or Zimbabwe, or diamonds directly involved in human rights violations.
